Assignment #8 - Recreating Typographic Art

For this assignment, you will recreate the typographic art piece shown below, however, you must you a quote or song lyric that YOU like.  

Utilize the exact same layout and varied colors.

You simply have to determine how to best layout out your quote so it fits in that rectangular shape AND is readable.  Please ask others in the class to review your layout for readability.

This must be done on the computer using Illustrator or Photoshop.

Some of you are still working on assignment #6 and that's fine.  Try to be finished up by this Friday, April 24th.


Assignment 7 - Fonts

For assignment #7, you are going to explore the fonts available to download.  You can simply do a Google search or try some of the site listed in the following blog - http://www.creativebloq.com/typography/download-free-fonts-resources-912696


I would like for you to find, download, and install at least one font for each of the following:

• An ad for an amazing new sports car
• An ad for a landscaping business on the coast of South Carolina
• An poster for Waka Flocka's presidential campaign

Now a very simple layout for each of the above so I can see how you would use these fonts in your type layout.

Email these 3 layouts when you are finished.

• Think of a word, phrase, quote, song lyric, etc
• Utilize Photoshop, Illustrator, etc (not Microsoft stuff) and create a typographic art piece similar to the examples below which represents you, your feelings, thoughts, concerns, etc.
• No due date at this time

Assignment #5 - Redoing Koffee Konnection

This week you will continue working with your partners in redoing your Koffee Konnection flyer.

• Layout should be asymmetrical
• You don't need to list all the specifics about the Grand Opening - this is an attention grabber
• Black and White, 11X17
• When finished, email this project to me as a PSD 

Monday, April 13th, we will start our next project.
